Vesna Shedd gained 20 years of invaluable experience when she worked in housing for both the U.S. Air Force and Army. She did everything from generating leases to performing move-in and move-out inspections, training staff, and the daily problem-solving that comes with the territory. It all helped prepare her for a career in real estate.
"I love helping people, and there is something special about assisting individuals and families with owning their homes," says Vesna, who serves as an agent on the national award-winning team of Coldwell Banker Advantage.
"As a military spouse, I understand the stress of moving," she adds, "and I want to be the agent who takes that burden off the shoulders of clients."
Whether you are a first-time home buyer, looking to upsize or downsize, or on the hunt for investment or vacation properties, Vesna has the knowledge and work ethic to be your trusted agent. (She also won a national title in competitive kickboxing at age 12, so we know she's tough.)
Vesna and her family make their home in Lillington, N.C., and she works out of the Sanford office of Coldwell Banker Advantage. Previous places where she has lived include Anchorage, Alaska; Fort Polk, Louisiana; Leavenworth, Kansas; Stuttgart, Germany; and Beograd, Serbia.
Fluent in German and Serbian, Vesna holds a bachelor's degree in foreign languages. She has been the recipient of numerous honors, including the Presidential Volunteer Award, Most Valuable Leasing Agent, and the Giving Back to the Community Award.
Causes close to her heart include volunteer work for her church, Habitat for Humanity, and a food pantry. "I have a deep-seated love for people," she says.
Asked to describe herself in five words, she doesn't hesitate: diligent, loyal, honest, ethical, and personable.
When not working, Vesna enjoys spending time with her husband, their four children, eight grandchildren, and the family's Goldendoodle named Champ and Obi. Gardening and traveling, including cruises, are other favorite pastimes.
